Bimbo Barbie a disgrace to women

You may have heard of Blondie Bennett, a 38-year-old woman from California who has literally turned herself into a human Barbie doll through spray tans, Botox, chin liposuction to contour her face to look more like Barbie and breast implants to size JJ. But now Blondie is taking it to the next level – and it’s been reported that she’s undergoing hypnotherapy to make her “brainless like Barbie.”

As a clinical hypnotherapist with 15 years of experience who is certified by the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, I am outraged and disheartened that someone in our profession would offer this kind of therapy to make someone stupid. This is a disgrace to the profession, and to all hypnotherapists who perform miracles with their patients, helping them overcome fears and phobias, lose weight, improve self-confidence, improve sexual performance, quit smoking and make so many other positive life changes. The primary obligation as a therapist is always to the welfare of the patient.

Some people wonder if hypnosis could really make this lady ditzy and confused. Indeed hypnosis is powerful enough to achieve the desired effects that Ms. Bennett is looking for, but no ethical therapist would ever do this. Why don’t we just cut out the hypnotherapist and go right to a doctor to give her a lobotomy? We wouldn’t because no ethical doctor would cut out a part of a person’s brain to make them be like a Barbie doll. This therapist should be arrested and removed from the profession.

The way it works is called the law of false memory. And just as it sounds, these false memories occur in cases where people have been led by someone (in this case the hypnotherapist) to believe something that isn’t true. False memories can be created with a simple leading question on an emotionally intense subject. The greater the emotional intensity, the more likely the conscious gatekeeper is distracted, and the more likely it is to create a false memory in the subconscious. Therefore, it is in fact very possible for Ms. Bennett’s hypnotherapist to dumb her down even more than she already is.

Sadly though, there’s another side to the story that is getting little attention. What Ms. Bennett is doing is degrading and insulting to all women. Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head in Afghanistan because she fights for the education of women, and this Barbie bimbo and her hypnotherapist are trying to undo all the great progress the women’s right movement has made. A basic human right like education is being denied to women all over the planet and this lady is getting all kinds of attention for being stupid and allegedly being supported by sugar daddies who pay for the procedures in exchange for sexy pictures.

Great leaders of the feminist movement like Susan B. Anthony, Margaret Sanger and Alice Paul, to name a few, fought to pave the way for women today. And even in the workforce, American women continue to break the glass ceiling, are the breadwinners in many families, and are being acknowledged for their intelligence, intuition and ability to get the job done. Blondie Bennett is a slap in the face to the continued progress and equality of women in our society.

When asked why she wanted to be Barbie, Ms. Bennett said, “Who wouldn’t want to be Barbie? She has the best life. All she does is shop and make herself look pretty – she doesn’t worry about anything.”

Can this really be true? The sad part is we’re letting it happen! It’s time we put a stop to this outlandish behavior. Her plastic surgeon should be condemned for implanting size JJ breasts; her hypnotherapist should be locked up; and the media should stop giving her so much attention she doesn’t deserve. As for Blondie herself, Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
